Gulliver starts strong, rolls past La Salle, 39-14

Despite starting the game on defense, Gulliver was able to score in the first minute of the game on a fumble return for a touchdown. The Raiders were relentless as they used a dominant first half to roll to a 39-14 victory against La Salle at Sean Taylor Memorial Field on Friday.

Olympia’s Trevor Siemian carries Titans to Thursday victory

Olympia QB Trevor Siemian (No. 9 on CF 100) is continuing to show why he’s one of the area’s best signal callers of the Class of 2010.

With his top RB Jarius Pace sitting out, the Northwestern commit completed 20-of-31 passes for 240 yards and three touchdowns in a 33-14 win over district foe West Orange. Pace, a transfer from East Ridge, is, according to a few sources, in the middle of a transfer inquiry.

If there was an eyesore to Siemian’s night it was his three interceptions, which matched his pick total for the entire year coming in.

For the season Siemian now has thrown for 1,414 passing yards and 12 touchdowns.

Dorsett’s 3 TDs lead Aquinas to victory

The outcome was never in doubt in St. Thomas Aquinas’ victory against McArthur on Friday night.

The only question was how lopsided would be final margin would be.

The Raiders answered emphatically: 42 points.

Aquinas (7-0, 2-0) scored on its first seven possessions and got touchdowns from five different players in their 49-7 home victory against McArthur (4-3, 0-2) in a District 16-5A game.

With the victory, the Raiders clinched a playoff spot. But that’s just the first step to St. Thomas’ ultimate goal.

“I don’t even want to talk about clinching,” Aquinas coach George Smith said. “To me, you’ve got to win it out.”
